Turquoise Arizona engraved, 750 / °° yellow gold.

After two years of pandemic, where we had to close ourselves to the world, I wanted to create this new series of pendants inspired by the sacred scarabs of ancient Egypt, as a symbol of rebirth and a better future.

In the culture of ancient Egypt, the scarab was a symbol of resurrection and eternal rebirth in becoming and transforming, ensuring only happy events and a constant improvement of the intuitive and spiritual faculties.

After tektite and amber, my research on scarab engraving continues. I engraved this pendant using beautiful natural turquoise, of a very intense blue, clean without inclusions.
I then forged the loop in yellow gold 18 k, as always, by hand, in my laboratory with traditional equipment.
Measurements of the scarab in turquoise: mm 15×19. Total height of the pendant: mm 26. Internal diameter of the loop: mm5 approximately.

Like most natural turquoise on the market today, the one used for these beetles has also been stabilized, to prevent possible oxidation and consequent color changes. Your beetle will always remain that beautiful blue you see in the photos.
