Engraved orange Satsuma coral, ebony, 750 / °° yellow gold, 925 / °° silver.
Size of the ladybug: mm 10×13 thickness mm 7 circa. total length of the pendant mm 22 .

After the beetles, my research continued with these ladybugs, making these small but precious ones pendants gold and corallo lucky charm.

Legend has it that the ladybug was the emblem of the ancient goddess Lucina (Juno for the Romans), goddess of light,of labor and delivery, but also of a Goddess of love and beauty.
But not only: the color red has always represented victory over enemies and diseases ( in ancient times doctors made rheumatism patients wear red robes).
The number seven is also associated with luck, the number of black dots on the back of the ladybug is said to indicate the number of months you will be kissed by the goddess of fortune and money will come soon.

I engraved this pendant in Satsuma coral combined with ebony. I then forged the frame in 925/°° silver and 750/°° yellow gold . All, as always, handmade in my workshop with traditional equipment.

The coral, being totally natural, may have small holes and cracks, also visible in the photos, which do not compromise the stability of the jewel.
