Gold and ebony and apatite earrings ‘’BATTITO D’ALI’’.

Ebony, apatite, yellow gold.

Precious gold pendant earrings ed ebony hand carved and apatite, inspired by the sculptures of Constantin Brancusi (bird in space).
The total length of the earring is mm 57.

The slender appearance of these earrings is the result of a series of studies and shape experiments that I carried out until I obtained a one-of-a-kind line.: a harmonious pair of upward slender drops inspired by the shapes of the sculptor C. Brancusi.(bird in space).

I love art.
I live in a country with a great artistic and architectural heritage, and perhaps this has influenced my sensitivity towards everything that has an aesthetic value. In particular, I began to approach contemporary art from a young age, with passionate attention to abstract art. My interest goes above all to the artists who have managed to synthesize the spirit of our times with their works: Brancusi with his simplified sculptures down to their essence, Burri with its lands and combustions, Calder with his acrobatic and apparently childlike kinetic sculptures ...
The "BATTITO D'ALI" earrings collection was born from the observation of the sculptures of Costantin Brancusi, which I believe was a master in the synthesis of forms.

I sculpted the harmonious shapes of the drops in black ebony by hand, with the help of simple tools in my laboratory. Between the drops and the gold plates I placed two blue apatite washers for a total of 0,80 carat.

I made the frame, in the shape of two small wings, in yellow gold 750/00 (18k) with pin and butterfly, entirely hand made with traditional techniques piece by piece.

Like any of mine jewel, they will be shipped in a gift box accompanied by a certificate of uniqueness stamped and signed CORAL NORD.
