Gold and chalcedony earrings ”MANGA CLOUDS”

My research also continues on cutting stones into shapes and sizes that are not always usual in jewelry.

For these earrings I cut some beautiful chalcedony druses, full of reflective crystals. I then engraved a small groove on the edge where to fit the gold wire bezel, and soldered onto the lower side of the bezel five pieces of delicate gold chain where five drops of colored precious and semi-precious stones hang, for a total of 13,00 carat.

The stone drops are : white adularia (moonstone), tanzanite, flattering powder, blue topaz, pink sapphire. I then inserted a small engraved mother-of-pearl star to give further movement to the cascade of drops hanging from the gold chains.

These earrings are entirely produced in my workshop: from the cloud cut to the yellow gold setting, everything was handmade by me, with ancient techniques and traditional tools. each piece is therefore unique and unrepeatable.
