Long coral necklace ”MEMENTO”.

Mediterranean coral, engraved white coral, wenge walnut, yellow gold.

Length of the necklace cm. 72; measures of the central about cm. 6,5 x 16.

Important long necklace in barrel-cut 'factory' red coral with a large centerpiece in burnt wenge walnut, coral branch, engraved white coral leaf, and 750 / °° yellow gold.

This necklace as well as being an unusual ornament, I made it to induce a reflection on the impact of man on nature. The burnt wenge plant is inspired by Burri's combustion, the coral branch (it too burned on the top) and the leaf, recall the wild deforestation that is practiced to supply man with precious woods used for often futile uses.

The wood of the central is a piece of recycled parquet that I partially burned and then fixed with resins, on which I symbolically placed a tree (the coral branch) from which the last leaf has fallen. More than a jewel, a sculpture to wear, a '' MEMENTO '' precisely to consciously use the resources of our land.

The 750 / °° yellow gold parts are handcrafted as always in my workshop, piece by piece with traditional tools.
