Mexican Amber is found in the state of Chiapas in southern Mexico, and it was already known at the time of the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations. Amber from Chiapas is a fossilized resin of prehistoric leguminous forests which over the millennia has taken on the color and characteristics that distinguish it.

The possible colors to meet are: dark red to yellow, light or dark honey, with characteristic bluish-green reflections if placed on a dark background. Its geological age dates back to approx 22 – 26 millions of years.

I forged the loop in 925 / °° silver, triangle, rigidly fixed. All worked by hand in my workshop with traditional equipment and techniques.
